This is a major plate from an antique suit of armor dating to about 1600. It is a connecting plate, which fits below the breastplate and above that leg protection (known as tassets). This is a Japanese armor piercing Arrow head of the Edo period, circa 1700. It is about 5 1/16 inches long overall with a 1 inch head with tapered tang and thick diamond section head. This is the heaviest form of samurai arrow and could penetrate even steel armor. Condition as is shown. spar6

This is a antique dagger dating to about 1600. It is a “left hand dagger” which was used in conjunction with a rapier in the right hand. It was used to catch the other fighter’s blade to allow a thrust, or to stab when the rapier was disadvantaged. They were made with the rapiers and sold together, though many more rapiers survive, than daggers. This is a rare 18th-century arrowhead from an Indo Persian siege arrowhead. The dates to the period of consolidation of India under British rule. Until that time it comprised city states separately ruled and protected by massive fortifications like the Red Fort at Agra. War sometimes consisted of laying siege to those forts, which were defended by archers who used special siege arrows. It is crescent shaped and just over 7 1/4 inches total length. This is a genuine flint arrowhead from ancient Egypt of the Predynastic Period dating before 3200 BC. It is flaked in the same manner as was done by the American Indians and virtually all other cultures. The mottled gray/brown flint is characteristically Egyptian and has an archologists field identification number. It was purchased at Christies in London about 25 years ago.
