Here is a rare variation for the archery collector. It is an arrow of the African pygmies. It is 19 1/8"” long with a sharply tapered barbed head. The socket is pitch over plant fiber. It is made without a nock or fletching and gripped with the fingers. We had several and all were made that way so you may be assured that this arrow is complete as you see it. Condition is as shown. npyg3

This is a fine Japanese samurai arrow of the of the Edo period, before 1867. It is one of the longest I have encountered at 39 1/4 inches long with a cane shaft and fine willow leaf armor piercing iron head. It is a bone nock. The fletching is good condition overall. Arrow heads of this form are quite rare and valuable, and almost never encountered fully mounted. samur12
