Brass hilt with thick swelled medial knuckle relief decorated in foliage. Recurved shell guards, the outer with high relief foliage surrounding the Arms of Spain. Dog head quillon. Geometrically decorated urn form pommel. Separate one piece brass grip patterned to simulate twisted wire. 30" d.e. blade, the first third of rectangular section and balance acutely edged. Flamboyant iron hilt with cylindrical scroll quillon terminal, large broad flared P form guard, wire wrapped sharkskin covered grip and integral back strap and pommel. 33 1/2” curved broad fullered s.e. blade with distinct eastern form clipped point, etched first half with foliage and trophies of military arms. Blade shows smooth medium gray patina throughout, etching quite crisp. Hilt shows smooth gray/brown staining. Grip excellent.

MAD PRINCE LUDWIG PERIOD. 30 1/2” curved broad fullered blade with crisp etched panel each side with In Treue Fest motto and Bavarian arms flanked by trees. Crisp with about 100% original plating intact. Few very minor edge nicks only. D form guard and offset pommel with integral back strap. Fluted composition grip. Hilt elements show about 60% plating with smooth brown patina to the balance. Iron scabbard excellent with no dents and 90% original blackened finish.

30 1/2” hollow triangular blade, crisply etched with rococo foliage over stylized geometry panels. Iron hilt with fretted disk guard, knuckle bow with expanded diamond form medial and elongated pommel faceted in matching diamonds. Good copper wire and band wrapped grip. Hilt shows smooth patina only. Grip complete and excellent, wire wrap only slightly loose from core shrinkage.
