Edo Period, 1603-1867. Protection for the right arm and hand. Coarse cloth covered overall with a fine mail matrix incorporating lacquered plates, three on the forearm, raised edge upper plate (edge cracked), vertically ribbed plates, a single gourd shepae dplate and rectangular above, each with separately applied flower decoration.three piece hand protection with matching applied flower. The cloth lining pulled away as the stitches deteriorated but can be fastened bak for a fine restoration.... Click for details

Late 19th century French Cuirassier's helmet which had been captured by Germans and which was incorporated with a German miner badge plate with the cipher "EL" and then used as a parade miner helmet in the city Biberach Riss. The brass skull of the helmet is with a brass crest and Medusa's head, and is with the original black horsehair tuft. Leather-backed brass chinscales with rosettes complete with its original leather lining. On the Interior of the visor attached is an oval logo which reads "... Click for details
