This is the poster reprint of the original signed limited edition poster by the famous French artist Chagall that was made to commemorate the opening of the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center in New York City in 1966 with the performance of "Carmen". This is a original poster advertising the first talking movies in 1929.It was published by the Herald poster co Collinsville Il.It is 28 by 42 and is in very good cond. with some minor chipping on the bottom red border.This poster was used by a man in wi. who traveled around to small towns in Wi. and set up a tent to show movies. I bought a group of posters and his record books at an estate auction. A scarce poster!

A silver plated spoon featuring the ventriloquist dummy, Charlie McCarthy, circa 1938. Stamped: DUCHESS SILVER PLATE. Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen made "Charlie McCarthy" and "Mortimer Snerd" popular radio figures in the 1930s and 1940s. The spoon depicts Charlie in his formal attire, top hat and monocle at the spoon's terminal. The handle is stamped: CHARLIE MCCARTHY. In fine condition with minimal wear. The spoon measures 6 inches in length.

Georges Meunier (1869-1942) was a prolific artist during the early years of poster art. His deft touch is on display in this 2-sheet poster for Auer gaslight fixtures. Nearly every posterist of note during the Belle Epoch created a design for this client, and Meunier's starry execution has a great deal of dazzle. Th poster is circa 1895, measures 48" x 67" an is in good condition (B+), with paper and color restoration.
