An opera with music by Gustave Charpentier named "Louise" is featured in this original lithograph from the famous "Les Maitre de L'Affiche" series. Designed by C. Rochegrosse (1859-1938), this romantic image illustrates a couple embracing in Montemarte, high above the city lights of Paris. The story is of a young woman who falls in love with a poet and the struggles they experience to stay together...in the end, love conquers all!
