Adorable 50's plastic suitcase-shaped handbag with gold metal hardware. The bright orange inside lining says "Lewis, Made In Italy". The zipper compartment works and the metal hardware features decorative studs and little buckles. The purse measures 3" deep, 10" wide, and 4" tall not counting the handle, and 6" tall with the handle. It opens by pressing the two top buttons towards each other. Fabulous 20's deco print shawl of stylized brightly colored flowers on a cream silk background with long cream silk fringe. The size is 58" by 54" without the 16" fringe, so it's almost square. It's in excellent condition except for one pinhole and some faint smudges on the border that are barely visible. It's a great period piece to wear or decorate with.

Beautiful, fully lined 50's wool beaded sweater in a classic Chinese jacket style. A size small to medium, it's approx. 14" across the shoulders, 36" bust, cut nearly straight to 38" hips, 16" inside sleeve length, and 25" mid-back neck to hem. It's in excellent, like new, condition.

A great quality 60's suit in a dark teal looped wool with faceted glass buttons, bound buttonholes, covered snaps, and a chain weight at the bottom of the jacket's back lining. It's approx. a size 4 to 6, about 15-16" across the rounded shoulders, bracelet length sleeves, 35" bust, 31" waist, and 36" at the hem of the jacket. Wonderful, flattering 70's knit dress in celadon green wool and silver lurex. It has a ribbed top and a flat knit skirt. The label says "The Knit Group", and the buttons are faceted crystal balls. About a size 6 to 8, it measures, unstretched, 14" across the shoulders, 32" bust, 24" waist, 38" hips, 16" inside sleeve length, and 36" long skirt. It's in excellent condition.

Cute swingin' 60's navy and off-white checked trim wool suit from Selfridges of London. About a size 6, with 15" across the shoulders, 34" bust, 30" waist, and 17" inside sleeve length for the jacket. The skirt is a 27" waist, approx. 37" hips, and 20" length. Photo enlargement 3 shows a textured pattern on the jacket that is incorrect. It's basically smooth. It's in excellent condition except for a small 3/8" mend to the checked trim on the left pocket flap that is difficult to see.

A wonderful couture dress from Neiman Marcus by Adele Simpson, the American designer to First Ladies, from Mamie Eisenhower to Rosalyn Carter. At 21, she was reputedly the highest paid designer in the world. She pioneered the use of cotton in evening wear, and this gown is an example of that. The top and bow are heavy off-white silk satin, and the navy blue skirt is cotton with a silk lining. The label is on the back seam of the inside crinoline.
