Lavished with sequins and beads, this glamorous snap-pouch from an English dealer near Cambridge was obviously hand-made. Its curvy Paisley-like pattern shows Art Nouveau influence and suggests the bag was made before 1920, since Deco designs were more angular. I believe it dates from the World War I era (1914-1918), during the transitional period between Edwardian and Art Deco styles.
