Measuring 8.5 inches high x 6.75 inches wide, this wonderful, 19th century, double-sided school slate remains in its original and sturdy, hard wood frame. Photos show both sides of the slate including a close-up view of a natural imperfection ---not damage!!!-- to the slate. This lovely piece comes from a multi-generation family estate in Vermont, and was no doubt once used in a one room New England Schoolhouse!
