A large gilt brass highly embossed powder box c1900. This box measures 4-5/8" across and it stands 1-5/8" high; they were made to commemorate and early 1900s World's Fair (St. Louis?). This one includes the original clear glass liner, interior gilding, and the original mirror in the lid. It is unsigned, and we have seen these with paper tags stating their World's Fair origins (the tag is missing on this one). A 3-3/8" etched glass souvenir glass creamer in the form of a pitcher, with a fine etched view of the 1901 Glasgow (Scotland) International Exhibition. A great souvenir of the 1933 Chicago World's Fair Century of Progress. This is a great Art Deco 3-1/8" diameter and 2" tall footed copper ashtray with a loop handle (brass, as are the feet); the Deco design and date are impressed into the cigarette rest. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, dents, monograms, repairs or damage other than a few external spots of green and some black ink-like traces in the bottom. A blue and white transfer design souvenir plate from the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair. The centre of the plate is the Unisphere, and the panels surrounding the centre are: Monorail, Swiss Sky ride, Heliport, Spain exhibition building, U.S. Pavilion and the Tower of Light. It measures 10 3/16" across, and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or staining.
