A fascinating Art nouveau perfume atomizer with a compact in the base. The piece has a gilt colored top and bottom, with a hand painted Art Nouveau design of stylized flowers on the frosted glass center section. The top has a depressed atomizer which rises when released, and the bottom section opens to reveal a very small powder puff with ormolu top and a mirror. Lovely muted colors.

This is a simply marvelous French Perfume Bottle and Compact Combination. The glass perfume vial with stopper is inside a painted wooden case with a brass top and base. The brass base contains the powder and a tiny powder puff with an ivory ring on it. The bottom of the case is a mirror. The perfume bottle stands about 2 3/4” tall and is in excellent condition. The only mark is “Depose” on the metal above the wood. I would estimate this to be from the late-1800s.
