Deep red velvet sewing etui is in the form of a little purse- nicely plated brass closing and a beautifully shaped little handle. Closed, it measures 4"x3"x1". Open, it stretches to 11 1/2". The far left section is a deeply beveled glass mirror, the center section has holders for six tools and silken thread. The tools are bone and nickel plated brass. A cast metal pincushion formed as a TURTLE, circa 1950s. The head of the turtle is a separate attachment and sways back and forth when the item is moved. He has a red velvet back for holding pins. Stamped with a maker's mark: FLORENZA. In good condition. It measures 3 1/4 inches in length by 2 inches in width by approximately 1 inch in height.

Patriotic drum in its original box is a ca. WWI sewing pin cushion.May be a gift from a soldier to his sweetheart? Mother? 2" in diameter and 1 1/4" high. One side is the pincushion the other a period beauty whose image is covered with celluloid. The body of the drum is painted tin. Excellent condition.
