A Royal Crown Derby bone china thimble in the Ambassador pattern. Marked inside with the maker's backstamp and "L" indicating the date of manufacture to be 1987. Decorated with two floral designs each within a circular reserve and cobalt blue panels containing leafy branches. Gilt trim. In mint condition in its original blue and gold box. Measures 1 inch in height by 13/16ths inches in diameter. This is one of six thimble designs issued by Royal Crown Derby in the 1980s.

A fine sterling silver thimble by Simons Bro. & Co., circa 1890. Stamped inside the cap with a shield mark containing an S. Stamped on the outside STERLING and 9. Decorated with a scroll border between (above) a plain polished band and (below) a ribbed band. In very fine condition with no dents. Measures 7/8 inches in height by 5/8 inches in diameter.

A sterling silver and abalone thimble. Taxco Mexico, circa 1950. Stamped inside the thimble STERLING TAXCO 925 and with an unidentified maker's mark LMN. There is a border of eleven sections of inset vari-colored abalone circling the base. One section has a small chip otherwise in fine condition. Measures 7/8 inches in height by 5/8 inches in diameter.
