This is a pretty thimble with a wide chased band. I believe there is a mark in the apex that is difficult to read. It is in excellent condition. I think it dates about 1900. It is 13/16" tall and 5/8" diameter.

This is a pretty thimble with a Greek key border inside the faceted rim.The mark is a star next to STERLING over 8 for the size. It is in excellent condition. I think it dates about 1900. It is 5/8" tall and 9/16" diameter.

This is a simple brass thimble with 2 different thread cutters. Engraved lightly on the band is "BITER PAT. APR. 14 .85". It is 3/4" tall and 9/16" inside diameter.

This is a pretty thimble with a wide band in the Delft style. The mark on the cap, S in a triangle, is used by the Soergel & Stollmeyer factory in Gmund Germany. It is in excellent condition. I think it dates about 1960. It is 13/16" tall and 5/8" diameter.

Here is a most unusual silver thimble that came from a collector who had been busy for many years searching out unique designs. This intricate vintage thimble is done in 800 Silver and is decorated with 5 small pave` set red coral stones around it's rim. Delicate silver ribbons alternate with the coral. This 1920's-30's era thimble is done in 935 Silver with charming painted enamel scenes in a band all the way around. The design is of windmills and boats on the water. Colors are Blue & White. This thimble has a lovely floral design. It is a size 8, as marked. It is in excellent condition. It has the maker's mark of The Simon's Brothers Company. It's marked U.S.A. with a thimble beneath it. Within the thimble it's marked SBC and then 8 (for its size). It would be a nice addition to any collection.
