This is a really nice Glenwood Number 5770, with platinum trim, 10 1/2 inch large dinner plate made by Noritake China. This plate is signed on the back: NORITAKE CHINA JAPAN 5770 GLENWOOD U.S. Design Pat. 181393. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. A delightful and diminutive, circa 1950's, Baby Boomer Era, set of children's wooden architectural building blocks marked "Made in Japan".
Measuring a slight 4" x 5", the brightly painted blocks are housed in a highly-detailed cardboard box featuring a colorful graphic of a young child playing with them. This toy was also used in the primary grade classrooms to help develop fine motor coordination and dexterity.
Condition is quite fine with the exception noted of 2 missing blocks.
Great Colours and graphics on this large tin. Has a few dents and age related wear but not bad considering Age.

A handmade Art Deco pewter inkstand from the 1920s. This absolutely fabulous vintage Art Deco sheet pewter-over-wood desk set consists of the 8-5/8 x 5-1/2" base, with a fitted glass inkwell, a hand-done optical checkerboard Deco motif (stippled and gloss segments) and a matching 8 x 7/8" letter opener, which rests on one of the two channels on the base (the other is for a pen). A large button, done in watercolor on organic material, with a glass cover and a copper rim with a steel back. The scene depicted is of a grand house and garden, identified along the lower edge as "Maison de Mdm Vanne".
The button is in excellent condition, though the back could use a bit of cleaning to remove some oxidation. The diameter is 1 1/2".
