Measuring 2 2/8 inches in diameter x 5/16 of an inch high, this rarely-found, circa 1910’s, dexterity game depicts a wide-eyed, black man wearing a hat, a wide white collar and a big red bow! The puzzle is quite colorful and is very visually appealing! A rare enameled beaker made as a souvenir of the 1896 coronation of Imperial Russia’s last monarchs, Czar Nicholas II and Czarina Alexandra Feodorovna. Originally, this carbine was a Robbins @ Lawrence Model - 1841 Contract Rifle, and its barrel and stock were shortened to adapt this weapon to calvery use. The R&L model 1841 rifle was a well made contract rifle on the market before the Civil War. Of the 15,000 rifles made for the U.S., 2000 rifles were stored in the Baton Rouge Arsenal before the war started. A very interesting and charming 1" enameled button showing a young woman with a basket of flowers looking at a butterfly that is about to alight on her hand. The scene is surrounded by an inner brass border. Between that border and the outer one are enameled sections with flowers. The condition is excellent with no problems.

A large gin bari cloisonne button depicting three snowy egrets against a background with shades of green, the whole with a silver surround and backing. When viewed from the side, the button has an intentionally undulating shape, making it highly unusual. The side is hallmarked and there appear to be other markings. The die cuts are a representation of every day European black folk of the 1880s- from a mother holding her infant to an officer in the army, these ten charming die cuts make for a thought-provoking display! Interestingly, yes, these die cuts do indeed have a bluish tinge to their skin color- an occurrence for which no explanation can be offered...

Beautiful antique English sewing etui containing antique sewing paraphernalia and a perfume bottle. In the shape of a small book titled "Lady's Companion", the box is brown leather with gold gilt embossing and is lined with red velvet and paper. There is a small lift-out compartment that once held thread, small bobbins. etc. A cardboard with notes has written in graphite the date "December 26, 1852"...

An exceedingly fine example of a miniature brass cannon, probably English, with a fine patina and superb condition having only the usual nicks due to age. The cannon is 10 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 3 1/4 inches high.
