A Kenton horse drawn stake wagon with two horses, one white, the other black, driven by a yellow painted man mounted on a Kenton blue stake wagon. We suspect that this toy represents very late production for the firm in the early 1950s, although it had been produced for many years during the firm's lifetime. The condition is excellent with only minor soiling or paint wear.
Regarding the condition of the paint, we admit that we thought it was repainted given the lusterless matte finish...

We are not certain if this ceramic bust is inspired by the Broadway play Cats, but it is highly realistic anthropomorphic rendition of a cat woman. The face is painted with a theatrical or harlequin style of decoration, with black ears protruding from the whitish hair. A salmon colored collar surrounds the neck, with a black and aubergine satin bib suspending jingle bells completing the couture. The bust is covered in the back with black cloth and includes a sturdy metal hook for hanging...

The beautiful black finish on this stone carved Sphinx is evocative of the Egyptian relics which this carving represents. The Sphinx is mounted on a large block decorated with hieroglyphics on 3 sides. The black finish is silky smooth. Of the many small figural Sphinxes in our collection, we find this one the most refined.

Art glass maker James Stone practices his craft in San Diego where he works in the tradition of the Venetian glass makers. This fully hand made frog is one of his creatures which is made of green translucent glass speckled with yellow spots on the top and heavy white spots underneath. The vivid blue feet add extra interest to this fine frog. If you need a little happiness or fun, this frog will do the trick.
