Possibly an unstated first edition. A beautifully illustrated copy in very good condition with red boards, embossed flowers and gilt highlights and gilt beveled edges. One small spot on a page, and a few pages have dog ear creases ( see photos). Published in 1880 by John W. Lovell, New York.
Finest dark green caiman leather ,dyed a deep rich green, with gilt lettering, embossing and page edges. Inside the front cover framed in the watered grosgrain fabric ,surrounded by more gilt embossing, is a beautiful gilt embossed altar with a brass crucifix. There are five coloured ribbon page markers. marked VII Edition 1961, Buenos Aires.Measures 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 2" . This wonderful selection would also make a very fine gift.

This 1934 petite wonderful French Missel, with gilt tooled leather, also has marbleized end papers. There are different beautiful illustrations on each page, as well as several full page illustrations. This has Prayers, Vespers, Mass for different occasions, and religious days, as well as what seems space for family history. The leather has a few very faint scratches on the cover and slight scuffing on the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. It measures approx. 5" X 3 3/4" , 390 pages...

The book is printed on heavy, high quality, watermarked paper using arts and crafts printing methods by The Lincoln and Smith Press, Boston, for Davis and Bond, Boston, copyright 1912. The covers are cardstock. The book has 40 pages and comes in a matching envelope. Excellent condition, virtually unread. Unusual and hard to find original book.
Copyright 1949 and published by James Laughlin at New Directions Books, Norfolk, CT. The book is bound in tan burlap with a paste down printed label on the top right hand corner of the front board. Another printed label is also affixed to the spine. The burlap is splitting 3/4 of the way down from the front board; an endsheet may have been torn out and there is slight splitting between the paste down and the end sheet however, the book is tight/intact...
