A very nice calico covered English grammar book published in Hartford Ct. The inscription in side the cover is Oliver H. Almy (Jr?) Book Little Compton RI. May 5th AD 1845. The book is 7 1/4" by 4 1/2". The cover shows wear at the corners. There is a nice shadow inside indicating the cloth cover has been on a very long time.

An early collectible brown and tan edition with jacket published by Grosset in 1928. The notable "wtih" for "with" is on page 4, line 25. The jacket is worn with tears, the overlap has separated and there is old tape. Also, the top corner of the textblock has darkening and the extreme spine is slightly worn ( see photos). Sold as is.
