This is the French edition published in 1931 by Calmann-Levy. The red boards show signs of wear on the edges and the pages have yellowed. A name is written in blue crayon or pencil on the front endpaper otherwise unmarked.

Stated "First Printing" published by Random House, New York, 1959. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. The boards show light wear and there may (or may not) be a blank page missing before the title page. No dustjacket. Third book of the Snopes Trilogy.
