The signed postcard depicts a chubby-cheeked girl holding a large pair of scissors and is captioned: I'LL CUT YOU OFF/ MY LIST OF FRIENDS/ IF YOU DON'T WRITE ME SOON. Further captioned below in French. Pictured on page 42 of John Henty's book "The Collectable World Of Mabel Lucie Attwell". Measures 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. In fine unused condition.

Very bright and colorful and the back is blue and white printing advertizing Clark's pool cotton. It is in excellent condition with no bent corners. Not a reproduction, but the real thing! Depicts a little rosy-cheeked girl about to lose her bloomers - an open safety pin is on the ground. Original yellow hanging cord at the top. Missing its original small calendar which would have been suspended from the bottom edge. This design is number 662 and was first published as a postcard in 1922...

On the back, a different notice names the maker as "A.E. PAPER & STATIONERY CO. MFRS. AYER, MASS." instead of the East Liverpool printer.
