A truly gorgeous ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma weighing 2.04ct, completely unheated and untreated. Colour is a typical very slightly purplish red - a very 'open' colour with only a little colour extinction. Clarity is very good - the stone is almost but not quite eye clean, with a swathe of silk being detectable to the eagle eyed, but overall clarity is excellent for the genre. Excellent cutting with no window and a perfect shape for a ring...
