All decorative borders, vignettes, initial letters, or illustrations, have been hand-colored (as issued) with water-colors. Spine chipped and contents shaken but overall in acceptable condition. The book measures 9 inches by 7 3/4 inches.

A story without words offering an explanation as to the origin of ZEBRAS! The pictures are self-explanatory. Ink inscription on back cover otherwise in very good condition. A rare and early work by H.A.Rey whose most famous creation is the mischievous CURIOUS GEORGE.
