This is an actual page printed by Benjamin Franklin in 1757 at his Market Street printing shop in Boston. It is from The Anarchy of the Ranters, a criticism of the Catholic Church and the Papacy. It is an a folder with support material including a color picture of Franklin, brief biography, copy of the front plate of the book, pictures of his press and book plate. Set of 12 volumes of "The Works of Samuel Johnson, L.L.D. A Edition in Twelve Volumes with an Essay on His Life and Genius by Arthur Murphy, Esq." Published by Hastings, Etherridge and Bliss State Street Boston. The set is in good condition and retains the original contemporary leather binding with gold lettering and decoration.
