Illustrated in full color. A July, 1969 PRE-PUBLICATION from the book, "I Can Lick Thirty Tigers Today & Other Stories" which was later published by Random House. Measures 11" by 8 1/4". In excellent condition.

Two "CAT IN THE HAT" BOOKMARKS. ONE IS SIGNED BY DR. SEUSS. Issued by the WOODWARD & LOTHROP DEPARTMENT STORE in the 1970's for a DR. SEUSS BOOK SIGNING EVENT. Orange construction paper with a printed illustration of "The Cat In The Hat" and lettered: "I met Dr. Seuss at Woodies today". One bookmark is SIGNED by DR. SEUSS. This is a French legal document from the Napoleonic period, dated 1 February 1809. It is four pages, 10" x 7" on laid paper, with a lovely Imperial eagle water mark. It has a printed and an embossed seal which I think are revenue stamps. It is entirely hand written (in French of course) and has 15 signatures, none of which are known to me. I believe it is a routine land transfer or similar and should be appreciated as an artifact of Napoleonic France without the expectation that it might be of h... Click for details

LEWIS CARROLL. ADVERTISEMENT. Christmas, 1893. A single 8vo page with printed text on recto. Carroll expresses his annoyance to his readers that in the Sixtieth Thousand printing of Macmillan & Co's "Through the Looking-Glass" the pictures "have failed so much, in the printing, as to make the book not worth buying". He goes on to urge all holders of copies to return them to the publisher for a replacement. Measures 7 1/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches.

KELLOGG'S FUNNY JUNGLELAND MOVING-PICTURES. A transformation booklet advertising Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Pep Bran Flakes, and Rice Krispies Cereals. Battle Creek, 1932. A very novel folded full color booklet with two pages that have been cut in strips in order to alter the images of the animals. Please see enlargements for details. Folded measurement is 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. MINT condition.
