This is a large wall map dated 1843 by Phelp's and Ensign a New York map maker before the Civil War.It is 26 by 38 and would have originally been a roll up wall map.It is currently framed in a simple wide black moulding under plexiglass as we found it. The map is in quite good condition other than some water staining to the top left corner and across the bottom of the map. This is a nice early original 1850 map of the state of Wisconsin. It is from a Thomas Cowperthwait atlas and has its original hand coloring.Image size is 16 by 13. Condition is very good with a few small brown spots but no tears or paper problems. These pre civil war maps are getting very hard to find.Will ship flat matted and shrink wrapped.
