Pumpkin shaped Halloween invitation on brown bag paper. Invitation in the form of a poem and dated Oct. 30, 1913. Size: 6" x 4 1/4". Very graphic! Black cat appears to be applied...maybe a stamp of some sort.

LEWIS CARROLL. ADVERTISEMENT. Christmas, 1893. A single 8vo page with printed text on recto. Carroll expresses his annoyance to his readers that in the Sixtieth Thousand printing of Macmillan & Co's "Through the Looking-Glass" the pictures "have failed so much, in the printing, as to make the book not worth buying". He goes on to urge all holders of copies to return them to the publisher for a replacement. Measures 7 1/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches.

There is a scuff mark on the reverse affecting some of the advertisement's text. Also, the right side of the card looks like it may have been trimmed(?).
