A lovely VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS GREETINGS CARD. Circa 1890. The card features an openwork front cover with an embossed design of roses and forget-me-nots. The colors are primarily pinks, blues, green, and gilt - on a white background. The covers have an attached silk cord which hold a four page insert inside with Christmas greetings and line drawings all printed in blue. The card is in excellent UNUSED condition. It measures 5 inches by 3 inches.

A fine and rare VICTORIAN Greetings Card of "CAT MUSICIANS". Circa 1880s. No publisher is indicated but the card is very reminiscent of the work of W. Hagelberg. The chromolithographed card is printed on heavy card stock. It features three (very serious) cats - each one playing a different musical instrument. Plain back. This is a really whimsical vintage leather bound volume with the title Pig Book, that is quite difficult to place in a category. Shaped like an autograph book, and in some ways is very like one.
