Haunting Mid-Victorian Daguerreotype photograph in Gutta Percha thermoplastic Union Case by Littlefield & Parsons Company. The photograph depicts an infant with it's rattle in hand and the bed strewn with what appears to be rose stems with a potpourri or vinaigrette in the foreground. Remarkable condition for the picture and the case which is all intact. The case lid features a central medallion with fruit and the border appears to be grapes and vines. 4 3/4" x 3 3/4".
