An embossed chromolithographed postcard, 1909. Divided back. Printed in Germany, No. 51766. Depicts George Washington taking command of the Army. Captioned: Three Cheers for the Red, White & Blue! From an original painting and signed lower left R. Vientliet. With a copyright notice lower right "Painting only copyrighted by S. Garre 1909". The card has been addressed but not mailed otherwise in very fine condition. Measures 5 3/8 inches in height by 3 5/8 inches in width.
