These beautiful stems were designed by Reuben Haley and produced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Five fruits' and is one of Consolidated's scarce tableware lines. Northwood Chinese Coral Red Bowl is 9.5" across and the rim is 3-3/8" high. The interior of the bowl is ribbed. This fabulous color is a great chinese red and was made in 1924-25. The two photos show the ribbing and the outside orange color. This is caused by the reheating of the bowl. When it comes out of the mold, it's color is yellow/orange. When it is refired, it turns to the bright red color you see here. It is an opaque red glass.
