This charming rug depicts three roosters in profile. It is made of cottons; circa 1930. The front is in excellent condition. The backing has some stitched reinforcements along the binding. They are not visible on the front. Measurements are 22" x 39". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
Spring forward with this early 20th century Chinese Art Deco rug with a rich cranberry field having a floral motif of urns, sprigs and individual blossoms, surrounded by a colorful teal and mustard multi-colored floral border. This Hit or Miss hooked rug combines an open center pattern framed by a more structured border. The huge variety of colors makes it adaptable to virtually any environment. The rug measures 70" x 85". It appears to be in un-used condition. It was made by Elda Dickey of Portage, Pennsylvania; circa 1930.
This charming braided cat rug would be equally happy on a floor or wall. It is made of heavy wools and should be sturdy enough to be suitable on a floor. Measurements are 34" x 47" to the top of the ears.

This hooked rug is made to look like the Log Cabin pattern usually associated with quilts. One can see this rug in several ways; there are five light and dark blocks; pinwheels and hourglasses. A tightly hooked rug, American, perhaps Amish, from the 1930’s. Wool on burlap with hand attached black cotton backing. 29 inches long by 22 inches wide. The unusual free hand pattern shows black stars with pale blue crosses in an integrated geometric pattern.
Condition: Overall excellent condition with one professional darned repair on the border between one star and cross (see close up image)...
A brightly colored folky pictorial hand hooked wool on burlap rug, a winter scene with snow flakes and a sleigh flying over a roof topped by a weather vane, from the estate of Grace Wright (1905-1993) who hooked many rugs throughout her adult life, 22" X 36", expertly cleaned and in excellent original condition, ready for display.
A Persian Shahsavan bag dating from around 1900. The face is woven in wool in Sumakh flatweave technique, showing different repeating ornaments. The back is made of stripes in Kilim.
