This is a 2 section antique Japanese kimono chest called Kanto Kasane Tansu. It measures 40.75 "tall, 37" wide, 16.5" deep. Made entirely of Paulownia wood (Kirinoki), it has a secret box hidden behind the lower drawer hidden behind the hinged door on the lower right corner of the piece. The iron fittings were all hand made and original. Its age is from the 1880's to 1890's (mid Meiji era).

This is a 2 section authentic antique Japanese kimono chest called Kasane Tansu that measures 41.75" tall, 33.5" wide, 17.13" deep. It was made entirely of Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood and the metalworks on the drawers are one of the family crest, Fukura Suzume, sparrow inflated sparrow which has auspicious and good luck meanings. This is a massive middle part of the 20th Century Spanish Cabinet made from solid and thick pine consisting of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a straight and majestic facade featuring a total of four paneled with chocolate pattern doors, all mounted with wrought iron hinges and revealing two large compartments.
