Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting a pavilion in the woods near a pond by Inui Tai (b. 1929). The artist was active from the end of the 1940s through the 1980s and was heavily influenced by the work of Shiko Munakata. Paper size: 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" (image: 9 3/8" x 11 3/8"). Very good overall condition with some wrinkling to the fine paper and minor soiling to the bottom margin edge. Similar prints by this artist can be seen in the online collection of the Spencer Museum...

Oversized limited edition Japanese serigraph (silkscreen) print layered with special heavy textured inks to create a dimensional effect by Yukio Katsuda (b. 1941), pencil titled "No. 94," signed Y. Katsuda, dated '76, and numbered 29/100 on the bottom margin. Paper: 17 1/2" x 12 1/2” (image: just over 14" x 9 1/2"). Very good overall condition. Printed on thick laid paper with full margins. Haku Maki did the months of the year in hiragana, not in Chinese characters also used for months in Japan. August はちがつ was created in 1977 and is number 53 of an edition of 202. It measures 13.75in wide x 5.75in high. It is in excellent condition.

Excellent crisp print in great condition, superb design, metallic gold highlights to the background, listed as plate 390 in JOICHI HOSHI CATALOGUE OF ALL TREE WOODBLOCK PRINTS published by Kato Gallery in 1988. Black “tree” seal of the artist in lower right corner, titled, signed and dated by the artist in pencil (see detail). A bit of foxing along the margins (see Enlargement 6), the image is not affected...

Japanese 20th Century black and white woodblock print. Beautiful print of fishing baskets hanging above the deck, with relection from water below. There is the artist's stamp in the lower left hand corner and there is also a stamp in the back lower left hand corner. The print has been laid down on a thin board. The print measures 12 1/4" wide by 16 3/4" tall.
