Early Japanese Edo Dynasty lost wax cast altar vase with figures and flowers, the lacquered vase with geometric background, the back having a wonderful stylized pine tree and the front top with pine branches and a large central places chrysanthemum flower flanked by a pair of Buddhist robed figures.We date this piece to the 15-16thc
This piece was purchased in Kagoshima on Kyushu island Japan 1990 . Size H 6" diameter almost 5.5"
Lopburi bronze figure of a Radiant Lokesvara, or "Lord of the World" in sanskrit. Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. Covered in scores of miniature representations of Buddha on his shirt, he also has toe rings one attribute is missing. Size h 4.5" by 2.25" wide some loss from bronze decay , the face though still visible has sloughed off a bit.
Fine Chinese Archaistic Bronze vase Ming Dynasty with mask ring handles and the body cast with zoomorphic and geometric bands. Beautiful little vase with a nice weight. H 5" 2.5" diameter
Korean Silla stoneware rounded pot with lid , the body has an elaborate pressed and incised pattern and the lower section has an olive glaze . The lid missing its finial the pot has rim chips . Rare shape nice design. diameter 4.5"h 3.5".
Kushan Islamic turquoise blue glazed oil lamp with elongated spout, pad base, tall neck and flared rim. The lamp measures 5 ins. in length. The turquoise glaze has a black design detail and a wonderful iridescent surface. The top of the rim chipped, superb color and glaze, and overall a very fine example old restoration and reconstruction as is usual with pottery of this kind. Very nice Garuda bronze figure large and very well cast and extensive tooled details. The sculpture has a mounting hole behind the nagas and a hole in the back base for mounting to an altar top.

Neolithic Hongshan Nephrite Jade Deity Mask Pendant, the face with large almond shaped eyes and a large curling Rams horn Crown or head piece, the jade is so unbelievably worn see the horns on the sides shows that someone rubbed the sides so much the sculp is flat , also the back upper section shows extensive wear. The Suspension holes are biconically off set drilled with mineral deposits within. The entire surface is covered in tremolite growth , a wonderful pendant. Size H 2"W over 1.5"
