Japanese mid 20th century bronze vase by metal artist NEYA CHUROKU (1897 - 1987). The tall vase is done with a dragonfly and autumn grass design. The vase measures 17 7/8" tall and 6" in diameter.

Chinese small carved jade ink stone and brush washer in one piece. The ink stone side is carved with a leaning pine tree and mist. Turned on its reverse side, it functions as a brush washer. The sides are incised with a key fret motif.

Chinese antique doucai porcelain cup, stand and lid. The interior of the bowl and the lid left plain. The base of the bowl and the stand contains a six character Yongzheng mark in underglaze blue surrounded by a double circle, also in underglaze blue.

Condition is very good, no breaks or cracks. Some minor wear to the enamels.

The stored grain is considered "safe" when it is guarded by the ancestors whose images are depicted on granary doors. Japanese Musha Ningyo of Jimmu, the First Emperor of Japan, made by Beishu. Beishu has Mukei Bunkazai status (Important Intangible Cultural Property). His Shoki shows great craftsmanship, with silk hair, glass eyes, gofun face and hands, with sumptuous silk brocade. This magnificent sculpture reaches the level of the master work of Beishu, whose work is found in museums and important collections of the Showa Period in Japan. Antique Persian Baluch rug, 100% hand woven wool in rust brown, light red, and indigo hues, with repeating geometric motifs throughout. These rugs are hand-knotted by the nomads of Baluch. Baluch or Baluchistan is the area between the borders of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan-- this is why Baluch rugs are said to be a mixture of three different regions.
