Haku Maki did the months of the year in hiragana, not in Chinese characters also used for months in Japan. August はちがつ was created in 1977 and is number 53 of an edition of 202. It measures 13.75in wide x 5.75in high. It is in excellent condition.

Austere Danish Classicism. Designed by Harald Nielsen. Fully marked including Georg Jensen & Wendel maker’s stamp (ca 1945-51), which was limited to wares sold in Copenhagen, and designer’s stamp. A set of two incense items carved from blocks of dried lacquer, the surfaces polished to reveal the various layers and colors of lacquer used in a mottled pattern. Truly quite spectacular despite their diminutive size, the koro is 10 x 6 x 7.5 cm (4 x 2-1/4 x 3 inches), the kogo is 4 cm (1-1/2 inches) diameter and both are in excellent condition.
