This dazzling "Byzantine" (pattern E 4567) patterned bowl by Minton was designed by John Wadsworth, Minton's Art Director in 1938. Prints were applied over an underglaze powder coloured ground, which were then filled in with hand applied enamel colours and the whole piece set off with gilding. Wadsworth was Art Director at Minton from 1905-15 and again in 1935-55, the intervening years spent at Royal Worcester. The bowl has a diameter of 230mm and stands 118mm high...

Wonderful vintage salt and pepper shaker set with tray by Royal Winton in the very beautiful Summertime pattern. There are no chips or cracks and the gold accents are bright and they have their original stoppers. The tray is marked Royal Winton Grimwades England Copyright Wright Tyndale & van Roden Inc. Summertime which dates this to the 1930's. Just a beautiful set!

This hand coloured Royal Doulton vase was designed by the well known painter Frank Brangwyn RA (1867-1956) and is decorated with the pattern D5079. While the outlines of the pattern were formed in the mould, the colours were applied by hand so that no two pieces are exactly alike. It stands 165mm high and has a diameter of 140mm. It is in excellent condition, save for some crazing. C1931.
