An attractive, colorful frit paperweight showing a pair of hearts shot through with an arrow and surrounded by a laurel wreath and the word "Friendship," all against a bright mottled umbrella ground. The pontil is ground and frosted. The glass is nicely free of striae and bubbles. The quality of workmanship is quite good, and the weight is certainly the handiwork of one of the better West Virginia glass makers, possibly Gentile.

These two rare Morgantown Princess optic amber wine stems are little pieces of fine art glass. Each whisper-thin crystal clear Princess optic bowl is mold blown and hand finished. Northwood Chinese Coral Red Bowl is 9.5" across and the rim is 3-3/8" high. The interior of the bowl is ribbed. This fabulous color is a great chinese red and was made in 1924-25. The two photos show the ribbing and the outside orange color. This is caused by the reheating of the bowl. When it comes out of the mold, it's color is yellow/orange. When it is refired, it turns to the bright red color you see here. It is an opaque red glass.
