Referenced in "The Colors of Murano in the XIX Century" p.128, Item #89, this vessel is typical of designs by Pietro Bigaglia in the mid 1800's. The Glass has the five point pontil mark, indicative of early Venetian Glass, is 3" tall and in excellent condition.

Utilizing the ancient technique of feathering Glass in a modern expression, this stylized bird illustrates the skill of the Murano Maestros interpretation of the Venetian Lagoons' environment. This beauty is 8"hx4"x2", unmarked, in excellent condition, probably made in the 1970's.

Illustrating the virtuosity of both the dancer and the Murano Maestros' skill, this series is documented in Marc Heiremans' "Seguso Vetri D'Arte", P. 93, model #5350, 1939. Measuring 8"h x4"w and is in excellent condition.

A Fratelli Toso Chambord Murano 16-3/4" red Italy art glass vase from the 1950s. This huge, heavy and stylish Italian glass vase is in intense ruby red with clear glass, it retains the original Chambord Toso line yellow and gold sticker with the silver and black MADE IN ITALY sticker. Perfect for your 1950s Modern decor. It is in very good condition with no cracks, damage or repairs other than a tiny base chip (see pic) and some minor wear, losses and crinkling to the labels...

"Tiffany Windows" murrines vase by Fratelli Toso is documented in Leslie Pino's "Fratelli Toso, Italian Glass 1854-1980", P. 68. This vessel is amazing in good light and an excellent example of the Murano glassblowers' skills. The transparency of the murrines allows the light to flow through nicely and remind one of the "colors of Murano." The Tiffany Windows series dates to the 1960's. This beauty is 6" tall and in in perfect condition.

This exquisite design of stylized water birds by Gino Cenedese is considered historical and they are displayed in the Cenedese Gallery in Piazza San Marco, Venice, priced at 3200.euro, each! The sculptural forms exemplify the Murano glass maestros' finesse in translating their natural environment into hot glass. As interactive sculpture, can be placed in various arrangements as an ever-changing accent in any interior...

An emerald green and silver bubbles bowl, 1950’s, unsigned, probably Italian (Murano). Width "6 / 15 cm, height "2 ¼ / 5.5 cm. Condition: one bubble larger than the others can be felt just under the lip, otherwise fine.

Large clear glass sculpture of an Angelfish measuring 15 inches (cm) tall, and 11 1/2 inches (cm) wide at the widest point. There is a bubble inclusion "eye patch" for decoration. Designed by Licio Zanetti and made by Zanetti Vetreria Artistica, circa 1970, the piece is signed on the underside in script, Zanetti L. Zanetti Vetreria Artistica was founded by Licio and Licio's father, Oscar, in 1956. Licio Zanetti stepped down as director in 1989...

A pair of large droplet shaped pendant lamps in cool green and blue murrines that resemble cells. An Ermanno Toso design from around 1960. The murrines are floating in a clear glass matrix on which they were gathered, heated, then blown.

Each hanging fixture has a satiny acid matte finish and is capped with a polished brass plate with loop for hanging. The brass plates appear to be original. The brass plates are held on by clips and can be removed to change the bulbs...

A smoky grey and / or steel blue bowl with softly folded sides, the shape typical of the 1950´s. Original paper label with: Pietro Toso & Co: Murano. The Toso family since the middle of the 19th century is one of Murano’s most renowned glass manufacturers. Width "4 ½ / 11cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

Vittorio Zecchin designed for Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Capellin, Venini & Co. from 1921-1925. This delicate soffiato vessel is wafer thin and has 2 acid stamps: venini murano & MADE IN ITALY. Nearly 100 years old, measuring 10.5" tall, this weightless beauty is in very good condition with no damage.

Exquisitely crafted white "opalino a coste" cornucopia with gold powders created in 1955 by Archimede Seguso. Obviously a favorite of the author, it is well-documented in Leslie Pina's book, "ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO, mid-mod glass from Murano, LACE and STONE" P. 202-206 The crystal glass in this beauty has a generous amount of gold powder inclusion and bears the scalloped Seguso label, in addition to an older scalloped label with hand-written digits ...

An elegant modern form in a Sommerso blend of extremely light tints of blue and green. This fine modern expression is 12" x 4.5" x 4", and is free of chips, cracks, and scratches with a normal wear at the base reflecting its age and an etched Seguso signature. Most likely it was made by Angelo Seguso in the 1970s.
