Sophisticated sommerso shell form by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte in soft amber glass cased in crystal, with a generous interior layer of gold leaf. The shell contains a double layer of controlled bubbles which add an interesting visual texture. Nice large centerpiece bowl with the starry nights design in lattimo glass, with the design expressed using aventurine on a crystal case over latimo glass. The starry nights design is well documented as Fratelli Toso. The bowl is nicely sculpted into a gondola form and the four feet are sculpted from the generous case of crystal on the exterior. This fine piece is in perfect condition, measures 16"w x8"d x7"h, and bears a portion of its Nora Fenton import label.

Sophisticated faceted vessel's purity of form and color suggest Flavio Poli. I have seen similar types of pieces attributed to Poli. The smoke and golden interior colors are soft and appear to float. This piece is in good condition and is the essence of good modern minimalist design. Measuring 1.5"x1.5"x5"h, the form retains a worn but readable import label.

One of those mid-century Murano glass shell designs inspired by the surrounding Adriatic Sea. The shell bowl is scalloped with a scroll twist that nicely modernizes the form. The piece contains a galaxy of polychrome inclusions and gold and silver foil. Measuring 2.5"h x 6"dia., the bowl is in perfect condition, unmarked

Signed Venini Fazzoletto (aka: handkerchief) in slightly opalescent Lemon Yellow glass; vase stands 8 inches (20 cm) tall and is 8 inches (20 cm) wide and has a polished pontil and "pulled" points. The piece is acid stamped venini/murano/ITALIA. Vases of this type were made early in the production with the more complex designs coming later. No chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1950

A mid-century modern Italian art glass 9 x 7" bowl made by Fratelli Toso of Murano, Italy in the 1950s. This bowl has a light orange colour at the bottom with a clear glass upper region with controlled bubbles - also known as bullicante. It has a (worn) Fratelli Toso blue/silver tag, and this heavy bowl is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

This stunning vase of dark purple cut-to-clear glass is reminiscent of the fine work done by Bohemian or Belgian glassworks. It has a dramatic graduated shape and is molded with sharp, vertical panels with impressed elongated ovals. It stands 8 inches high with a rim diameter of 4 3/4 inches. Some wear to base; minor scratches to vase body.
