Art Deco brass and painted glass lantern, made circa 1920 in possible Germany or Austria. The lantern measures approximately 24 cm high and with its ceiling rose and chain it measures approximately 48 cm high. The photographs show the lantern from all sides. The condition is good with no damage to the glass or metalwork. There is some scratches and corrosion marks to the metalwork consistent with the lantern’s age. This is a fantastic cast brass horseshoe bell. The bell itself is cast in brass and measures approximately 4" across and 3 1/2" high. The overall mounting, including the horseshoe motif measures 8 1/4" x 12 1/4". There are two screw holes to mount this bell to a wall or fence post. It has a brass chain to pull to sound the bell and has a spring to pull the bell back into place. A very pretty looking and sounding bell for a horse enthusiast!

Large, heavy brass letter opener. Artisan signed "F.P.Smith, Chicago". At one end there is a high relief cast dog's head holding a duck. The letter opener measures approximately 11 inches in length and its widest measures 2 inches across. It most likely dates to the 1920s and the overall weight is 178.3g.

Offered here is a fabulous, huge bowl having a pierced foliage motif of vines and leaves. It is Asian, probably mid-century or a little earlier. It is silver over brass I believe, and some of the brass shows through on the outside. Did I say huge? The bowl is 14" across and is 6.5" deep. The stand is not included. A great decorative piece. (Shipping is only a guess, don't hold me to it in either direction.)

Indian elephant brass incense burner with howdah. There is a mahout, or elephant driver in the front of the howdah, the passenger area is where you would place a cone of incense. The elephant is enrobed with ornate trappings. The word "India" is etched onto the base. Cones as we know them today were an invention of the Japanese. archaeologists have found forms of cones in cave duellings as well as Egyptian tombs...
