Secession gilded brass box designed by Eugen Schwemmle for Erhard & Sohne in Germany circa 1915-25. Geometric panels have stylized urns, palm trees and fawns in relief. Central panel upon the top depicts the artist's daughter AnneMarie Schwemmle. Impressed workshop mark beneath. An example of this box is in the collection of the Brohan Museum, Berlin. Pictured in "Metalkunst," page 158, the book of the Museum collection. Dimensions: 1 7/8" H., 3 1/2" W., 5 1/8" L.
Purely Secession in design, brass bell with its alternating grooved and raised conical bottom. A flattened grooved handle completes the bold form. Unsigned, possibly Hagenauer for Rena Rosenthal, circa 1940. Dimensions: 4 1/4" H., 2 3/4" W.
These were in the library of one of Norfolk’s fine Halls, they looked most imposing on the tooled leather desk top.
Over the years they have developed a dull patina which gives them an impression of greater age.

A wonderful Mid Century Modern tray with a stylized marlin by Salvador Teran in Brass embellished with brown and blue tiles. Signed on the bottom, Handwrought, Salvador, Hecho en Mexico, 425. Measures 12 3/4" long and 5 3/4" across. Has some tarnish, a few small dings along the lip and a little bit of roughness along the edge. Great mid century look.

Signed on the bottom, Handwrought, Salvador, Hecho en Mexico, 414. Measures 9 1/4" tall and about 8" from handle to spout. Has some tarnish and minor surface scratches. High style.

This is a heavy (3.0.2 lbs) solid brass candlestick. It is not weighted. It appears to be old; I've seen many like this candlestick in stillifes. Its origin is probably European--perhaps Dutch, French or Belgian. It has been an obviously well-used candlestick due to the candle wax remnants. Very good condition; no dents or cracks; there are remnants of candle wax and tarnished areas...
An ornate three piece brass desk set with Greek script. The embossed scenic design is highlighted by faded blue and red enamels. The set includes an inkwell with lid (missing glass) along with a broken pen holder stand, a calendar stand (metal back has remnants of old tape) and a notepad holder (missing its pad). Unmarked.

This scholar's desk item has a splendid carved Chinese crystal bottom with a 'Po Ku' theme. The Art and Orchid Gallery's objet de vertu was started in Germany with embossed decorations on its laminated double walls in the shape of a bottomless cup. A Chinese hand carved and enameled crystal base was attached to the object above the foot using tiny brass teeth, which are only seen from the bottom...
Standing 5-1/2" high, this brass bell has a short leather strap handle, which looks like it might have been part of a longer strap at one time. Clapper is also metal piece. Condition is good, has not been cleaned or polished.

This is a fantastic cast brass horseshoe bell. The bell itself is cast in brass and measures approximately 4" across and 3 1/2" high. The overall mounting, including the horseshoe motif measures 8 1/4" x 12 1/4". There are two screw holes to mount this bell to a wall or fence post. It has a brass chain to pull to sound the bell and has a spring to pull the bell back into place. A very pretty looking and sounding bell for a horse enthusiast!
Wonderful Heavy Beveled Glass and Ormolu Jewelry Casket opening from top with Cherubs with Trumpets and Bird Ornamentation. It measures appx 6 inches deep and 5 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches tall. Condition is very good. Very light wear. It is much heavier than the usual beveled glass jewelry boxes you see.
