Antique silver button collectors look at this set of four antique Far Eastern Chinese export foo dog lion or dragon motif repousse chased unmarked silver buttons. Although unmarked, they test at least 90% silver, yet may be sterling.

A traditional form enlivened by the figure of an octopus squatting in the center, its curled and tangled legs draped over the bowls. Royal Windsor sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Towle in Newburyport, Mass. Ovoid bowl with helmet mouth, flower-capped double scroll handle, and domed foot. Chased and scalloped frames (vacant) interspersed with pendant flowers. Shoulder and foot rim have alternating flower heads and volute scrolls with beaded border. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 67420, and volume (“8 half pints”). Very good condition.

Although the detailed design is similar, each of these Spratling candlesticks were handwrought a few years apart. Each carries specific Spratling hallmarks coinciding with their construction dates. The earlier example is 2 1/8" high. The later is 2 1/4" high. Each measures 2 1/4" across at the base. The pair weigh 155 grams. Both are in beautiful condition. A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains its original gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship. This particular example is several grams heavier than most Thomae thimbles.

A pair of Lucknow solid silver sweetmeat or bonbon bowls from the Indian Raj period circa 1880 1890. These superbly detailed antique high grade silver 4-7/8" x 4" bowls have a graceful fluted rim. A classic mid-20th century French silver tastevin of traditional form. An elegant English sterling silver, cut glass and bakelite cocktail pick set. Each of the pics terminates in a red bakelite cherry. The silver is hallmarked for John Grinsell & Sons, Birmingham, 1933.

Being offered is an extra large and superb handwrought circa 1964 mixed metals - silver and copper centerpiece by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. The very large figural swan centerpiece features a heavy gauge handwrought silver body with incised and oxidized detail on the wings; copper beak and applied lapis lazuli eyes. A lovely set of Cartier silverplated cocktail picks, buffet markers and champagne whisks, presented in their original fitted and embossed case. A fine Art Deco 800 silver graduated jigger in an exaggerated flaring design. The sections measure 1, 1 1/2, and 2 1/2 ounces. The bottom is stamped for 800 silver and has an Italian mark used 1935-38 that was applied to finished silver goods already in the inventories of Italian jewelers and silversmiths.

Description: Very well crafted hand made southeast Indian vessel, the whole body is decorated with pierced foliage design with beautiful rosebuds in high relief. It bears silver and 925 mark on the base. Has a height of 4 inches and the diameter is 6 inches. Excellent condition.
