Beautiful arts & crafts handmade sterling and wood tea set, comprising of 6 pieces, c.1910. Every piece is marked "STERLING" except for the sugar. The design is classically arts & crafts and each piece is hand hammered which produces a wonderful texture, very representational of the period. Being offered is an exceptional and rare circa 1943 sterling silver pitcher by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico. Handwrought, bulbous form pitcher with a magnificent oversized carved wood chunky handle in the shape of a profile of a bird; silver balls surround the base of the handle. Dimensions: 6 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches from handle to spout. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition.

A fun Arts and Crafts Period round brass and copper covered box. A prominent cherry blossom decoration adorns the top - outlined by the studded brass cover with etched decoration - explosing a hand hammered copper surface. Etched vine decoration also around the side with copper banding and studs. Not sure if this is Western or Japanese production - the Arts and Crafts Period starting and extending later in Japan...

George V sterling silver box. Made by Richard Comyns in London in 1934. Rectangular with straight sides and curved corners. Cover hinged with gently curved top and tapering tab. On cover top is engraved the coat of arms of the Honourable Artillery Company, which is the oldest regiment in the British army. Cedar-lined and partitioned interior; underside leather lined. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A vintage sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a syringe by Gorham. These were called “Martini Spikes” when sold by Gorham in the 1960s. The functioning plunger allows vermouth to be drawn up into the syringe and then dispensed in precisely-calibrated medical dosages into your favorite cocktail. The syringe originally cost $10. The syringe is accompanied by an illustrated instruction card and the original fitted box.
