Gorgeous vintage Hermes silk scarf (“carré”) worked in rich shades of medium blue, cream, golds, browns and greys. The design illustrates various 18th century gilded carriage or chariot wheels, including one emblazoned with an image of the Sun King, Louis XIV. The hand-rolled edges (rolled toward the front) are plump. “Hermès Paris” is worked into the design, as is the signature of the desiger, Caty Latham.

Mary Had a Little Lamb charmingly depicted in a hooked rug. Mary shown in profile like the Sunbonnet Sue of quilts. Interesting that Mary's lamb is sheared; the legs are a fuzzier wool than the body.
Pristine condition; measures 16" x 23". Pennsylvania origin.
What could be more appealing than this Cats crib quilt pattern? Does the fact that there are nine of them relate to the traditional notion of cats having nine lives?
Nicely embroidered with details including a collar on each animal. Cable quilting in the border and concentric diamonds throughout interior. Pristine condition. Colors softer that in photos. Measures 35" x 36". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
Here's a wonderful Retro find from the 1940s: FIVE whisper-soft dresses of fine white cotton lawn with pintucking, embroidery and scalloped hems. Each has a different design and the tags tell us they were hand-made in the Philippines. Condition is lovely, despite their being about 60 years old -- nearly antique, by American 75-year standards. Some could use a few stitches along seam lines, but there are no major problems. They could be brightened with bleach and/or bluing, if you like...
Darling vintage English Child's handkerchief with children and the days Thursday and Wednesday in the corners. It measures 10" square and I could find no holes or stains.

The purse is done in beautiful hues including pink, lavender, greens, etc. To further enhance this charming work of craftsmanship, there is a stunning enameled and jeweled frame...

Unusual center medallion arrangement of the Jacob's Ladder pattern. This Amish quilt is from Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The format of the quilt was most likely influenced by the center diamond and square patterns of the Lancaster County Amish. Wool fabrics; measures 72" x 82". Crude quilting but great graphics.
