Nine Patch quilt on a chambray ground with wonderful gingham checks. Triangles connecting the Nine Patches create octagons in the off blocks making this more than a simple Nine Patch. A lovely country quilt in classic red, white and blue. (On my monitor, it looks more pinkish, but that is not the case.) Pristine, unwashed condition. Measures 73" x 82". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1910.

I can see this in a mountain cabin bath, or to add a little elegance to a "guy's" bath! This vintage unused towel is the color of unbleached linen, highlighted by a rust colored thread woven in the drawnwork border, which is stitched by hand. The opposite end has a single hemstitched hem. Excellent condition, freshly laundered.
This sturdy European and so soft linen and cotton sheet has the most precious blue swallows swooping over clouds and the initials PB embroidered on the turndown. The heavily padded embroidery looks hand done but with a magnifier it seems to be hand guided by machine. It measures 66" wide. This sheet is in excellent condition and has years of use and enjoyment to come! I've laundered and pressed it, it's slightly wrinkled from trying to photo it...still ready for you to use immediatly!
There's a lovely damask woven foliate and geometric border turning the corners with a center ground covered with trails of foliage in a sturdy white cotton. Both ends have been hand knotted self fringe measuring 4". This sturdy white towel seems unused and I've washed and pressed it for you! It measures 48" x 25". This towel would be so lovely to display and USE!

This lovely petitpoint bouquet of mixed flowers is hand worked in a beautiful shades,from pink,periwinkle blue, rust, beige,greens,and browns.It would be perfect on a stool or pillow top! Absolutely charming crib quilt that is a miniaturized version of Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam. Each dress and shirt is a different fabric. Pristine, unwashed condition. Nicely quilted. Backing fabric of sailboats is equally interesting to use as a wholecloth quilt. Measures 45" x 54". Pennsylvania origin; 1930's.
Crib Quilt consisting of Bars filled with One Patches. Excellent, unwashed condition. Top was made circa 1890 and, based upon the backing, probably quilted in the 1930's. Pieces such as these that are completed a generation later are called Mother-Daughter quilts but do not refer to family relations. Measures 48" x 52"; Pennsylvania origin.
This uniquely woven sturdy bright white towel seems to be of 100 % cotton. I don't think it was ever used, but it is now freshly washed and pressed. There is a hand embroidered GP in a circle on the front right corner. Measures 24" x39" Plus 2 1/2" of knotted self fringe on each end. There are hang tabs at each end which were added by hand. This is a towel you will really enjoy using while displaying!

This is not the usual Floral Wreath Hooked Rug. The extraordinary concentric striated frames provide an entirely new dimension. In the center, it has a subtly op art effect. Throughout, it adds tremendous dimensionality to the background. The composition of the wreath is also out of the ordinary in that it includes pineapples, grapes and pears in addition to flowers. Excellent condition. Wool; measures 54" x 55". Circa 1930.
It's difficult to describe this Pinwheels variation quilt as it makes several equally prominent patterns. In addition to what was probably meant as the dominant pattern, the white blocks make Four Point Stars. The; elongated diamonds are an additional pattern. Terrific variety of 1930's fabrics. Excellent condition. Maryland origin; measures 72" x 79".
Droll seems like the best word to describe this unusual 1930's strippy quilt depicting various fruits. The same fabric was pieced in two different colorways to create an unusual palette. Strawberries, pears and apples were printed to look like lace as well as in solid colors. Reverses to a totally different printed backing seen in last thumbnail. Can be used equally well on either side. Pristine condition; measures 76 x 82".
