This purse was purchased from a very fine estate sale, and the quality of this Judith Jack purse reflects the sale from which it came. The marquisite (pyrite) is "grade A" mined in South America. The stones are hand set in sterling silver. The design and craftsmanship are superb. The lining repeatedly presents Judith Jack's name. The metal cartouche says "Judith Jack, made in Italy." Purse is 5 1/2" by 4 5/8". 1 1/2" front to back. Beaded chain is 11 1/2" end to end.
This elegant set of 6 napkins of gold and blue woven cotton damask is expertly made with mitered corners and hand drawnwork hemstitching all around., in fact they're so perfect, it's hard to tell the front from the back, except for the hand monogrammed RH which is also of a chinoiserie design.Colored damask has become quite collectible. I've added a photo showing the reverse side. 12" Washed and ironed...ready for your table!
This wonderful matched set is most desirable in that it is a matched set for 6 of extremely fine quality linen damask with wonderful heavy drape. Colored damask of this quality is especially harder to find. And it's Round! The napkin pattern has ribbon tied rose bouquets in each corner and the center is full of roses in ribbon and dot frame,(which also frames the edges). The tablecloth has the same center design. The 6 napkins are in excellent condition...
Flying Geese quilt ( closely related to Birds in the Air but with fewer triangles) done in lovely shades of soft pink and grayish blue. Outer two borders quilted with a wide chevron; cable quilted inner border. Spotless condition. Name of maker available to purchaser. Maryland origin; circa 1930. Measures 72" x 76".
This lovely cloth has shades of olive green and dusty rose in the design, thogh faded with use and age. There are hand repairs to the shabby hem tape ,which you would probably want to replace. One small spot as seen in photo and a few light yellow areas which I don't think detract from this unique cloth. 58" Freshly washed and ironed.
This beautiful set of damask duvet covers has a unique woven artsy pattern that I can't quite put a name to! The beautiful green and blue combination would be right at home at the beach. These are European small size 66" X 50" (similar to our twin) and meant to float on top of the bed,not hang over as American comforters would...

Sassy little pouch purse! This little guy is a charmer. Lovely leather and sleek and shiny ranch mink. Gorgeous vintage Hermes silk scarf (“carré”) worked in rich shades of medium blue, cream, golds, browns and greys. The design illustrates various 18th century gilded carriage or chariot wheels, including one emblazoned with an image of the Sun King, Louis XIV. The hand-rolled edges (rolled toward the front) are plump. “Hermès Paris” is worked into the design, as is the signature of the desiger, Caty Latham.
Origin: France, ca. 1995...
Mary Had a Little Lamb charmingly depicted in a hooked rug. Mary shown in profile like the Sunbonnet Sue of quilts. Interesting that Mary's lamb is sheared; the legs are a fuzzier wool than the body.
Pristine condition; measures 16" x 23". Pennsylvania origin.
What could be more appealing than this Cats crib quilt pattern? Does the fact that there are nine of them relate to the traditional notion of cats having nine lives?
Nicely embroidered with details including a collar on each animal. Cable quilting in the border and concentric diamonds throughout interior. Pristine condition. Colors softer that in photos. Measures 35" x 36". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
Here's a wonderful Retro find from the 1940s: FIVE whisper-soft dresses of fine white cotton lawn with pintucking, embroidery and scalloped hems. Each has a different design and the tags tell us they were hand-made in the Philippines. Condition is lovely, despite their being about 60 years old -- nearly antique, by American 75-year standards. Some could use a few stitches along seam lines, but there are no major problems. They could be brightened with bleach and/or bluing, if you like...
Darling vintage English Child's handkerchief with children and the days Thursday and Wednesday in the corners. It measures 10" square and I could find no holes or stains.
