Executed in clear crystal with a generous application of gold leaf and gold powder, it is the purity of the artist's choice of clear glass which guides the attribution to Archimede Seguso. The piece retains its label, and is in perfect condition. 13.5" x 7" x 6".

A very elegant Art Deco cranberry-cut-to-clear crystal cocktail shaker. The glass is very clear and quite heavy. The style of cutting suggests Val Saint-Lambert as the most likely maker. The shaker is finished with a silverplate strainer and cap.

A fantastic figural sterling silver and stag horn graduated jigger, each cup in the form of a whisky barrel. The barrels are fully detailed with engraved staves, raised hoops, and bung holes. The jigger is finished with a polished stag horn handle in an amber shade. The portions are well-made with good weight and detail. A lovely set of six sterling silver demitasse spoons in the “Wild Rose” variant of the “Vine” pattern. The bowls are in the elongated shape often seen in Tiffany demitasse spoons and are enhanced with soft matte gilding. Each is stamped with the Tiffany hallmark used 1873-1891. The spoons are accompanied by a Tiffany felt bag of more recent vintage.

A delightful set of six sterling silver Art Deco cocktail picks with finials in the form of the Devil. The little naked figure grasps a flaming torch in one upraised hand and his tail is replaced by the business end of the cocktail pick. The bottom is marked “Sterling” and is signed “Cartier”. These watering cans were made for Cartier’s New York store.

Pair of early 20th C Tiffin yellow Vaseline glass candle holders with barley twist stems supported by a bell base with an etched floral design. All my photos are shot in natural light against a white or black background. The candleholders are heavy in weight and look much better than I could capture in the photos. You will not be disappointed. They will glow bright green under black light. Measure 9.5" high x 5" diameter at base.

Circa 1960's-70's, this Matl jeweled cross produced by Ricardo sits on a pedestal and is a hand-wrought work of art. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own. After 1980, Matl Salas pieces were also marked with MS-12. This cross pre-dates that mark. A 9 inch tall Wisteria goblet identified as Steuben shape 7182. The unsigned goblet is pictured in the online shape gallery on the Frederick Carder Steuben Club. This goblet has an engraved mark on the edge of the polished pontil that reads “F. D.” The initials are engraved in reverse so that when seen through the foot they read correctly. Per the Carder Steuben Club shape gallery the pattern on the goblet is “unknown.”

In the mid-1930s, Venini engaged Carlo Scarpa to design innovative glass surface textures and this historical gem, "A BOLLICINE", survives in excellent condition! The base is polished and has 2 acid stamps: "venini murano" and "MADE IN ITALY", measuring 2" H, 3 3/4" W, 3 3/4"D. See CARLO SCARPA, Glass of an Architect by Mario Barovier, P. 206

Two small vessels by well known American studio potter Tom Turner (currently living and working in North Carolina.) These two pieces are tenmoku glazed and are hand thrown in porcelain (Tom Turner is acknowledged as an American master in this medium). Both are signed by the artist. In excellent condition.

This stylized conch is documented in several publications, including Leslie Pinas' ITALIAN GLASS, PG 146, valued at $800-$1000 and Helmut Ricke & Eva Schmitts' ITALIAN GLASS. This modern expression of the conch shell exemplifies that even as the Murano glass designers were being influenced by the Modernist movement, life and elements from the Venetian Lagoon continued to serve as an inspiration for artists. Measuring 6.5"w x 3.5" x 5.5"h, the Conchiglie is in good condition, unmarked.
