This Royal Copenhagen Christmas plates is called "Waiting for Christmas". It was designed by Kaj Lange. It is the continuation of the story told by the three previous plates.

This plate depicts the lull, full of anticipation, before the family festivities- which in Denmark begin on Christmas eve- start.

A fine bronze of the Greek god Hermes as a shepherd carrying a lamb. The young shepherd is walking barefoot, wearing an animal skin coat and cap, carrying a young lamb most likely wayward in its wanderings. The patina is verdi-gris and in very good to excellent condition although the back of the cap contains a small nick on the surface. The artist paid significant attention to detail carving, for example, distinct toe nails. The bronze is signed F. P...

Two proud little Royal Copenhagen penguins standing together. Numbered 1190, they are in perfect condition and measure 4" tall x 3" wide.

Offered is this large-sized (height: 8 inches & width: 3"), iridescent glass shade with applied threads, made by Durand/Vineland Glass Company, around 1925. Unsigned, as expected - it is in a definite Durand shape (please refer to page 146 of Meschi's book - shown in last picture here for your convenience). Good condition (a few threads missing, as might be expected).

Beautiful cased vase by Pallme-Konig und Habel, showing their excellent use of the casing technique! The vase is four layers of glass; orange, white, clear, then the decorative layer of textured red glass. The vase was then covered with irregular applied trailed decoration in black, which has been worked into the surface. The entire surface has been strongly iridized. The first photograph (white background) best shows the true color of the piece and the intensity of color...

This is a really nice pair of depression glass amber Madrid 4 inch high Salt and Pepper Shakers made by Federal Glass from 1933 to 1939. Both shakers are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The original metal lids are good: one has two dents, the other shows wear, but they both work freely. 19064552 A nice small example of Loetz “Astraea” pattern. The bulbous vase is 3 ½ inches tall, 2 ½ inches in diameter and has a polished pontil. The piece is unsigned.

In Marc Heiremans' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO this "a canne ritorte" design is documented on page 82. The execution and finish of this fazzoletto confirm the Murano Artisans' mastery of working with Glass and would be a fine addition to any serious collection of 20th Century Murano Glass. The pontil mark on the bottom has been carved out and polished, indicating careful attention to details. The piece measures 4 1/2"H x 6" D. Condition is perfect.

This pretty, vintage, Crystal Iris and Herringbone depression glass 5 1/2 inch Tall Wine Goblet was made by Jeannette Glass from 1928 to 1932. This Wine holds 4 ounces and measures 2 1/8 inches in diameter at the top. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Be sure to search our other Iris available.
