Pair of sturdy cast iron urns with upsweeping arms and lids. Urn body has classical motifs - blowing face encircled by dolphins. Lids have roundels on their surrounds with heads with olive wreaths reminiscent of ancient coins. Each stands 48" high and 29" wide. Origins unknown. In excellent condition. Highly decorative for indoors or out.
Pair of cast stone lions oriental in style but more naturalistic than formal temple guardians. Made from cast stone which has a dark lava-stone appearance. Very imposing and appropriately large, ca 1970 each 33" long, 25" high by 16" wide. Nicely defined.

This unusual set is hand-wrought in the style of early English regency garden furniture from the early nineteenth century. From Mexico, ca 1970, it is hand-made with ribbed and hammered wrought iron with wonderful curves, lion's paw feet and fleur de lis ends. Beautifully executed and dramatic in any garden setting. This bronze crane on turtle statue is perfect for a zen garden setting. Crane is a symbol of longevity and love and is a common object seen in Japanese landscapes. We acquired this gorgeous pair of hand carved marble foo dog/ "Lion" guardian sculptures at least fifteen years ago. They were old then but were probably crafted about thirty or more years ago. Possessing intricately, finely carved manes and surface features, these charming fellows are of a style reminescent of the Ming to Qing Dynasty. They measure an impressive 42"h. x 22"w. x 15"d. they would be a superp pick for your garden or home...
