A very nice and rare pair of French handkerchief planters ca 1950 that are also unusually large. Made of a cast fibrous concrete that is not as heavy as the more typical product they are both visually dramatic and perfectly stable outdoors. One is 45" x 39" and the other 43" x 43". A very stylish set of early pierced metal wrought iron garden chairs, probably American ca 1930. The 5 side chairs have a clean, graphic shape with pierced seats and backs in a polka-dot grid pattern, with the seat back nicely rolled over the support bar. There is only one armchair with arm supports typical of early vintage pieces. Side chairs are 34" high by 16" wide by 20" deep; the armchair is 34" high by 21.5" wide by 22" deep...
An unusual version of the oak leaf and branch cast iron twig bench, probably ca 1930. The bench mimics the older design with the arm rests and legs (with intertwining snakes) but the back and seat are different. It is also a more generous size being 33" high by 53" wide by 22" deep. Some repairs to the back of the seat and a short piece missing from the back. Structurally very sound.
